Alt-F4, F12 + Enter, X in the corner, /resign......these should all still work for survivors. BUT err 007 is going to cause ALOT of deaths for survivors.

Thank you so very much! Wheeeeeeee!

Can't keep my pants on from excitement!! Wheeeeeeee!

Ok, back to earth m8...

This is good news, even though they are only projected/planned, not implemented yet.

Cant wait to see it in action, /killerr7 AND the party forming thingie.

As to the survivors.. well... tough brake, m8s! I had a survivor... died from stupidity... and my second one died from err7... been there, done that, get on with life, make another one...thats what i do.

Just when I begun to think these features were going to be forgotten, they become a Christmas present from Anet.

Reconnects :
I'm sure this part of the update will make playing Guildwars 100x less stressful for everyone. R.I.P overpowered Error 7 Monster I say.

Party Search :
I must admit, half the time when I am tempted to join a PUG group I can never be bothered with spamming <proffession/build> LFG till i'm blue in the face. So this was another much needed update. Especially with heroes and henchmen, this sort of automation is what's needed in guildwars now.

Hm... these features, at least the party search system were supposed to be put in when Nf came out. However, this shows that they'd rather please the loyal fans than the reviewers, so congrats to ANet for thinking about the peeps and also to a good update. (Would rather put in a finished update than a glitchy one for the reviwers). As said before, all that's needed is an instant in game auction. Really, as long as they keep making new expansions and w/e, these updates were all I needed.

/thanks

Sounds awesome, no more wasting hours after DCing in UW or FOW

Was also confused about party formation stuff but:

I notice that the people who have called ANET lazy and uncaring for not putting in reconnects and party formations even just last week havent posted to apologize and kiss ANET's feet for their obviously false remarks.

But yes, this is a happy happy day! This game keeps getting better!

Party Search and Reconnects, two of the best Holiday gifts that Anet can give us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

couldn't find this so....question/wonder... (not to sound like a jerk) what if get erro7 and log back in, then I'm assuming the character screen will display "get the heck back in your group and fight!!" next to the character that was disconnect. so like can i jump on a mule account and swap some stuff and then rejoin my party?

One word; Wow!
Great work ANet! This is what I(and i suppose many more players) were wishing for a long time. Good, now, the difference between dial-up and highspeed internet is being lower.(As i am a Dial-up internet user, with frequent disconnections.) Now, dial-up users can play as normally as other players without having all those disconnections problems, thanks to reconnects, Yay!!! Yay Candy Canes! Yay Wintersday! Woot dialup!
Well, that is politics, give them gifts at X-Mas, though, nice gift.
Happy holidays to ANet and to everyone !

Not to be whiny but just add a new buy/sell system (ie. auction house) and my life will be complete.
